Projection of subtitles
Synchronised electronic projection of subtitles
Based on long research and practical testing PORTLINGUA designed and continues to
develop the CSTM (Cinema SubTitle Machine) system, which is a software and hardware
product developed primarily for film festivals (primarily for the KVIFF). The apparatus enables electronic projection of subtitles
or text in general, synchronised with the film projection from any medium. The new
original technical solution allows for precise subtitle synchronisation.
The CSTM system has found its application not only at festivals and in cinemas,
but also at theatre performances, at operas, concerts and other cultural events.
For example, at the Prague Spring 2011 festival PORTLINGUA cooperated on the
realisation of Gustav Mahler compositions in O2 Arena or at the performance of Infernal
Comedy with the words of John Malkovich.
